They winter over by Alton IL which is just across the river from St. Louis.Paulhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00452052794700280200noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1241169859831975626.post-7639126771270777712010-02-09T16:52:55.275-05:002010-02-09T16:52:55.275-05:00That looks a lot like a bald eagle. Looks just like the ones we saw.Lindanoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1241169859831975626.post-14749057957541815232010-02-09T09:50:46.172-05:002010-02-09T09:50:46.172-05:00Probably a good idea to do the ferry trip another ...Probably a good idea to do the ferry trip another day so you can go earlier in the day. The picture is neat. Hope they can tell you what it is for sure. When we were in FL and on the bus for our tour at the space center, the driver pointed out a bald eagle's nest in a treetop rather close to the road. It was huge. The driver said a person could actually lay down in it. Did not see an eagle, though. Oh, your day was more exciting than mine. I'd druther be walking on the beach than driving in the snow.Shirleynoreply@blogger.com
