Bueamont, TX

We are sitting at Hidden Lake RV resort tonight. Nice park. Passport. That is half price. Tomorrow we are going to Victoria, and then on Sat to Alamo. We are going to slow down tomorrow and only do 2oo some miles tomorrow and Sat. So far we have had good weather. The place we stayed at last night was okay. It was so far back off the road and the dirt roads were terrible. would not recommend it to anybody. Well that is it for tonight. Oh our granddaughter paid for lunch. Hattiesburg,Ms

Well we made it to Mississippi. We drove 376today. We had another beautiful day. Sunny got up to 60 at one time. It is now 52 here. After leaving the fort at 11 degrees this sure is nice. Tomorrow Beaumont TX. Another 300 some miles. We should make the valley by Sat. We hope. Will take us a couple of days to get rested up. Well that is it for tonight. Later Ron Thelma and Eli

Cornersville,Tn

We went 471 miles today. We were going to stop around Nashville but the roadsand weather were so good so decided to drive a little farther. Are at Texas T campground. We have stayed here before. It isabout70 miles south of Nashville, Tomorrow we are going to Hattiesburg Ms. Hope it gets warmer the farther south we go . It is 32 now going down to the20s It was 10 this morning when we left. On the road Tuesday

We were going to leave on Monday but the weather south of here is not cooperating. Friends called this afternoon and said they were getting hit again with ice and snow. So we will leave on Tues. Can't wait to get out of here. It is cold. We are going to Alamo TX for the winter. Should get there in  days if all goes well. Will try and do better with this blog. Don't think I posted for about 2 months. The camper is pretty well packed just a few things to put in Tues morning. Few things to throw in back seat of truck then also. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Almost ready to head home

Well our retiree rally is over and now the invitational is over tomorrow. In the morning we have church and then our membership meeting. This evening we had awards for the clubs and people who have belonged for numerous years. We had two couples who have been members 50 years. That is a long time.We had a couple of clubs who have 50 yrs and a couple with 45 years. We had one couple who belong to the state assoc. that he was delivering newspapers this morning and pulled out in front of another car. Hurt pretty bad. Collapsed lung broken shoulder bone. some other injuries. Then one lady this evening taken to hospital from here with low blood sugar. So not so good for them. Well that is about it We have had a lot of rain here tonight. It has quit for now. Hope that is it.  Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Retiree Rally almostover

Today is the last day of the retiree rally. Tomorrow is the start of the Invitaional. This when anybody that works or doesn't come to the retiree rally starts to come in. We had 15units here for our rally. Not as many as last year. Yesterday we had our senior games. That went well. We had fairly good weather for it. We did some inside as it was dewy and cloudy outside. In the afternoon we did the outside ones. This after noon is our meeting. This morning we men fixed brunch for the ladies. We had eggs bacon sausage, biscuits & gravy, fried potatoes. We also had fruit salad and orange juice. It was good. Well that is it for today. Later all  Ron Thelma and Eli

Samboree over

This morning we had church service and then retired the flags that had been up since last Thurs Evening. When we got out it was raining. Not real hard. We then came back and I made breakfast. Then we packed up dirty clothes and went to a laundry. It was busy. We are now sitting here now till tomorrow morning when we leave for Nashville, In. We have our retiree rally at the fairgrounds there. This is the last year that we are in charge. Hope it doesn't rain there. According to the forecast it is supposed to be sunny while we are there.
