Hey what happened to the warm weather

Today was a cloudy misty day. Thelma did laundry this morning. It needed to be done. The sun tried to come out but was only here for a bit. Other that that we didn't do anything. Tomorrow morning is church. Next week they start the Sat. night service. We will go to that. Not much else to report. Tomorrow is supposed to be nice but then next week it is showing rain almost all week. Hope it gets better here pretty soon. Well that is it for tonight Later Ron Thelma and Eli

Rainy Day

Today was a crappy day. This morning we had the weekly  meeting. Donuts and coffee were free this morning. After we came home we stayed in the trailer till this evening. Then we went to a Shoneys in McCallen. We had the buffet. It wasn't too bad. Some of the food could have been hotter. They were not busy. It is still raining here at 9:00. Not hard just a drizzle. Christmas Day

Well Christmas is all over Seems like it just was a week away and now it is gone already. Went to church in Alamo last night. Nice service. The pastor that was here 3 yrs ago is still here. Today we had a dinner here in the park. We had signed up about a week ago. The host lady came around and said we needed to bring two passing dishes. Thelma made Au gratin potatoes and bean green casserole. Somebody took the glass dish that the potatoes were in. Hope they realize they got the wrong one. Tonight it was potluck. They took all the food that was leftover and put it on a bunch of tables and then you helped yourself. Got to taste some food that we hadn't before. The park furnished the ham. It was pretty good. Tomorrow morning we have the weekly meeting. The donut's are free tomorrow. After dinner today we had a man entertain us who is blind. Can't believe how he does it . Another day

This morning we went to 10:30 Church here in Alamo. It is about 7 or 8 blocks away. After we got home for awhile we went to Subway for lunch Had some coupons. Buy one get one free. Not too bad. Then on the way home stopped at HEB. Got some groceries for Thelma to make food for Christmas dinner at the clubhouse. This evening we had a Christmas program. It was pretty good. Had finger foods afterward. Lot of food. Tomorrow is a parade here in the park. also a jam in the afternoon. Guess that is it for tonight Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Where has the time gone.

Yesterday we went to Peter Piper  table and just chatted. Today we had the trailer washed and waxed. Good price   After they left I washed the truck. It was dirty too. The roof of the trailer was really dirty. The trailer looks really good for now. Tomorrow morning we have a breakfast at the club house. Think we will go for that. The weather here has been good. Hot in the high eighty's. It is going to go down next week. That is okay with us. Guess that is it for tonight. Ron Thelma and Eli

Entertainment.

I don't have the pictures uploaded so none tonight. This guy had one of those new fangled accordion's where it is electronic. He was pretty good. All Christmas songs  Some of them I had never heard. This morning was the activity meeting. Sure is a lot going on. Should have taken something to write on. Won't remember all that is going on. They have a lot of trips planned but most were already full. Will try and make some of the other ones. Well guess that is it for tonight Later Ron, Thelma and Eli

Great meal

Today was the Christmas meeting of the Winter Texans. We met at Harold's Country Kitchen in Donna. They serve a buffet. Boy it was good. Saw a lot of friends we had not seen since campvention in July. Was great to visit with them. Tomorrow morning is the meeting at the clubhouse. They tell what all is going on and what meetings are happening. Then in the afternoon they have entertainment. Will try and get pictures. Guess that is about it for today.
