Questions answered

Last night we went out to the KOA at Bluffton to see my brother Paul and sil Beth. Went out to eat at Richards in town. Then went back to camper and talked for awhile. Left around 8 We had storm warnings when we got back. We did not get that much wind or rain as I thought we might get. We will be home here till the 2 of July and go to Tipton to camp there for the weekend. I am taking pictures for a couple of our friends that we camp with that are celebrating their 50 anniversary. That will be on Sunday. Will leave there on Monday morning and stop at home to replenish and maybe do a load or two of laundry and on Tues head up to Michigan for our campvention. We are going in early as Thelma is on the steering committee. I am doing the pictures but won't start doing that until Thurs some and then Fri when the campvention starts in earnest. That is about it from here for now. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

home for a couple of weeks

Got home about 4:30 this afternoon. We had a board meeting this morning right after church. We started about 12:00 or so Took 4 hr and 20 min to get home. That was with a stop for lunch on the way. and of course a couple of potty breaks and some fuel. We had a good time this weekend. Hadn't seen some of the people since last fall. Some we have seen at the retiree rally. Guess that is about all for now. Happy Fathers day to all the Fatheres. Hope it was a good one. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Going home tomorrow

Tomorrow we leave after church and a board meeting. We will go out to eat sometime after we get there. Today the teens played flag football. Some of it got pretty rough for flag football. This evening we had a pitch in supper or potluck as we call it. They furnished pork loin and we all brought a dish or two. Thelma made Au gratin potatoes and put some ham in it. There was nothing left. It was almost gone by the time we got into line. They had a pretty good turnout 41 units with 5 second families. That means they stayed with someone else but payed an activity fee. That is not too bad. If we get 50 units any more we are lucky. Only at the Brown County one do we get more than 50. We some entertainment tonight. Guy played the guitar. We Stayed till 9 and then came back. That's about it for today. Oh forgot. We got a dozy of a storm last night Thunder and lightning. Rocked the trailer. Don't need anymore of those. 3/4 of inch of rain. that was all. Sounded like a lot more Okay Later Ron Thelma and Eli

A HOT DAY

It has been really hot here today. When you walked out of the A/C it almost knocked you down. The building we are using is air conditioned so not to bad in there. Yes there is some Amish in this area. Not sure but I think someone said that they came from Penn. They are mostly north of US 36 and east of 41. They have all different type of things. The one place we went to was mostly a greenhouse . I think later they will have produce when they come up. The place that we thougth we would go to we could not find. Not sure if maybe it was someplace else that we camped. Played euchre tonight didn't do all that good but it was fun. That's about it for tonight. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Missed yesterday

I don't have a very fast signal here in Rockville. We sat outside visiting last night and it was 10:00 before we came in . I went and took a shower and when I got on the net it was so slow that I just checked email and got off. Yesterday Thelma and I hit the Amish stores . We found three of them I think we bought something at every one of them. Not much but a little. Last night the latch for the door broke and so this morning we went down to Terre Haute to a dealer and got a new one. So now we can get out with out the screwdriver. We might take a drive later to some bridges. Thought we would go this morning but with having to fix the latch that didn't work. That's about it for now Later. Ron Thelma and Eli

Parke County

We are in Rockville at the fairgrounds. Got stuck down here and had to have the guy mowing grass help me get out. It wasn't too bad. Sure got the truck muddy. We went out to eat with some other folks and on the way I washed it. Sure looked better. Tomorrow Thelma and I are going to do some sightseeing. We want to find the Amish store that is down here somewhere. We went to it when we were down here four years ago but don't remember where it is. Will go to the visitors center tomorrow morning and find out from them. Might take some pictures. That's about it for tonight Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Lot of food

Here is the picture of the food that we won in a raffle. It had 27 cans and 17 boxes of different things. Guess we won't starve for awhile. Couldn't believe how much stuff was in there. Then we have a plastic crate that it came in which you can use as a file folder if you want. Don;t know if this picture will get bigger if you click on it or not. That's it for tonight. We leave next Wed to go down to Parke county for a state camp out. We can go down early so we will do some sightseeing while there. We are camping at the fairgrounds. We were down there in 2006. That was in Oct when the covered bridge festival is going on. That is neat. We go during the week. Not as crowded. Maybe we will go down this year again. Later all. Ron Thelma and Eli
