Moving tomorrow

Tomorrow we move up the road about 122 miles to Ocala. Staying at a full hook up campground. Will be there till Monday and then move to East Bank COE park. We have enjoyed our stay here and will miss the place. Hoping to maybe get a lot rented here again next year. The lot we are on the guy says we will not rent next year. He wants to sell it. That is a shame as we liked the lot. We have a lot to do in the morning to get ready .
Since we are only going 122 miles we aren't in any hurry to get going. They are paving the road in front of us so that might make a difference as to when we get started. This paving was to be done by the end of Jan. Boy that must have been a long month. This afternoon we went to the grocery to get a few things. We are stocked up for a few more days. We went out with some friends for one last lunch together.  Well guess that is it for today. Will update tomorrow after we get all set up in our new place. It is hot here today. `91 right now  at 5:30

We sat on the beach for and hour or so and then headed back. I only took a few pics.  Should have taken one of the gulf. Here is a couple of them
This is a Great Blue Heron. The guy fishing had feed him a fish so he was waiting for some more. He stayed there till the guy left. Then flew off.

Tarpon Springs, Fl

Today three of us couples drove to Tarpon Springs. This is the sponge capital of the US. Thelma and I rode with one couple of and came home with the other couple. We had a great time. Too bad it is so far there. We didn't have a lot of time to see everything. We left at 9 and got back about 6:30. Made a long day for Eli. Here are  a few pictures from that trip

At lunch one of the ladies ordered an appetizer. It is some kind of cheese that they set on fire. Man what flames. When this waiter was clearing our table he took on to many plates as one dropped on the floor
Don't know what kind of duck this is. If anyone knows let me know I have a couple of more to post that I don't know. I like taking pictures of the wildlife
Okay what is this one, He just sat there all the time.
This one was right where a guy was fishing. He was looking for a handout. There was supposed to be some dolphins in this bay but we did not see any.
Need help on this one too. Sure glad some people know there wildlife. I need to get a book on these I guess. Well that is all for tonight.  Later all  Ron Thelma and Eli

Sunday

This morning we got up and dressed for church and then went to a restaurant for breakfast. After that we went to church. Great sermon. This pastor reminds us of the one we had in Texas last year. This afternoon we just sat around and watched our boilers get beat. Oh we had rain this morning and a lot of wind. They need the rain. Tonight we went to bible class.
Here ate a few pictures from yesterday
Watchdog on duty. He raised his head and looked at me then put it back down. Must be used to this
This is a 1926 Auburn. Only one know to exists. That was made up our way.
Either she is dead or one ugly woman. Wouldn't ride with her very far.
This is a IH tractor with a IH V8 diesel engine. I don't know how many of these were made.

Tomorrow we are going to Tarpon Springs with two other couples. Should have some pictures on Tues or Wed of that. Later all Thanks for reading.  Ron Thelma and Eli

Today we went with another couple to Frostproof, Fl for a car show. I will get some pictures on maybe tomorrow. They also had a bunch of old tractors. The kind I grew up with. We had a great time. We then stopped at Frostbite in Frostproof for something to eat and Ice cream. They have some of the best ic around. We then went to another campground to talk to some people about having a meeting about our state camp out next Aug. The retirees are putting it on. The spring one is being done by the teens and old ones in Aug. Well that is about it for now. We are starting to wind down here. Next week is going to be busy. We have things planned for about 5 out of 7 days. Then need to start thinking of putting some stuff away as we leave here on the first.   Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Macon Ga

We are in Macon Ga tonight Left around 5:45 this morning. It was 11degrees. That is cold. I had plugged the truck block heater in so it warmed up pretty quick. We stopped in Decatur at Micky D's for breakfast. We had a little snow on the road but it wasn't bad. After it got light we made better time. The truck is filthy. Will have to wash it when we get down to Fl. I have heard that it is cold down there too. We shall see tomorrow. We did 717 miles today. Tomorrow we only have 400 to go tomorrow. Gonna sleep in a little in the morning. Probably till 6. They have breakfast here so that will help. They had cards at the Ga welcome center and got the room for 48 dollars. There was about 4 other people checking in at the same time with the same card. Talked to Gary tonight He is doing good. Slept pretty good last night. Well guess that is it for tonight Tomorrow we will be at the trailer  Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Going home today

Thought I would update now since later we may be busy. Gary gets to go home this afternoon. About three. We are going up to the hospital around 12:30 and eat lunch. The food is good and pretty cheap. You can't eat at a restaurant for what they charge. We will probably head down to Fl tomorrow morning. Right now we are getting a light snow. Just what I wanted. Next update will probably be tomorrow somewhere south of Indiana.  Thanks for all the prayers. He still has a way to go. He needs to sleep in a recliner for 60 days as they have a water bed and getting out of it would put to much strain on his breastbone. It needs that long to heal back together   That is it from here Later  Ron Thelma and Eli

He has moved

This morning they moved Gary out of intensive care and down to a room where they can monitor his heart. He wears a little box that sends the signal to the nurses station. He seems to be doing well. We have decided to stay for a few more days. Probably won't start back now till Sat. By then he should be in pretty good shape. He doesn't have much strength yet. But he is young so that really helps. We were up this morning and that is when they moved him. We will go back up later this evening as see him. Thanks again for all the prayers. They sure have helped. That is about it from here.  Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

He is doing fine

Gary came through with flying colors. The surgery took a little over 4 hrs. The Dr came in and said he was a good boy. Everything when really well. We saw him about 2 this afternoon and he had breathing tube in and was awake but didn't have his eyes open. He did nod his head when asked. When we went back at 5 they had the tube out. The nurse said he was doing better that most paitents she has had. We are so thankful for all the prayers that came his way. We appreciate them. They may move him sometime tomorrow. Won't know till then.  Keep the prayers going for speedy recovery. You don't expect your children to have this at his age. That is it for tonight It has been a long day. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli
