Another day gone

We did not do much today. We went out this late afternoon with a few here and ate at a little restaurant here in Berrien Spring. We are going to have our campvention here in July 9-15, Thelma is doing the pet parade and asst office manager and I am doing the digital picture thing. I have two other people to help. That should be enough. Thelma just got back from a steering committee meeting and took notes since she is asst secretary. Tomorrow all the committee's meet with team leaders and make sure everything is ready to go. Have to get up early in the morning so guess that will do it for tonight. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

Berrien Springs Mi.

Got up here this afternoon. Not too many here yet. Most will come tomorrow. Some still have to work. We will not have to do anything tomorrow till the evening. Thelma has a meeting with the steering committee since she is asst secretary. I don't have anything to do till Sat when we have are committee meetings. The TV here is terrible. Cant get anything except religious programs. I didn't think we were that far from South Bend. Need to check it out. That's about it for tonight. More tomorrow. Ron Thelma and Eli

Home for a few days

Got home around 1:30 this afternoon. Had rain on and off all the way home. Some of it was hard. It quit around Decatur and got the trailer backed in and unhooked with out rain. Went to nine mile to eat later. We did not see anyone that we knew when over there. If I want to see someone I need to call them. There never seems to be the time. Guess that's about it . Another day gone

Today we had nickel dime bingo. I won one pot. $5:00 something. Not too bad. This evening we had a picnic lunch. They had chicken potato salad cole slaw regular salad desserts that ladies had made for the apple baking contest. Then we had a singer this evening for entertainment. Pretty good. Tomorrow is church and then we will head home. It has rained here of and on all day. Hope it stops in the morning for hook up. We will probably stop in Piqua at the Arbys on the way home for lunch. We have done that before. It is located in a shopping center lot so have lots of room for the trailer. That's about it for this weekend. Next weekend we will be in Michigan for our final campvention meeting. Just a couple of months and we will be there for a week or so. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

On the road again

We are this evening at Urbana Ohio. This is where we lived for 14 years. We got set up around 1:00 and then went to the airport cafe. We used to eat here a lot when we lived here. This is will not be a big campout as it is just a district one. After we ate we went into springfield and drove by the plant. Sure not many cars there. They only have about 400 or so working there now. That is factory people. My sister was here this past week. She stayed at my other sisters place. She came into town on Monday andWed. We had good visits. Had not seen her for quite a while it is a long drive from Colorado. not sure what all we will do this weekend. They are saying we are going to get rain. So what is new. We get that a lot when camping. I think the farmers could use some rain. The ones working in the fields on the way over were creating a lot of dust. Thats about it for tonight. Thought I would give a little recap of our trip.
We drove the truck 4791 Miles
Pulled the trailer 2874 miles
Drove the truck by itself 1917 miles
We spent 75 days in the camper.
Stayed in 13 different campgrounds
We used 438.06 gals of diesel
Our average mileage was 10,93 mpg
The truck computer showed an average of 11mpg most of the time. I never reset it when we filled up. Sometimes it would get up to about 12 then go down. Coming back from South Carolina I think the mileage went down as we had some hills and I pushed it pretty hard. The truck really did fine. We had great weather all during the driving time. I don't think we ever drove in much rain. We stayed a couple of extra nights when we got to Al. because a storm was coming in. So that's about it for the trip. A great Easter

We went to 8:00 service this morning. Then stayed for breakfast. It was good. This afternoon we picked up Gary and family and went to Cracker Barrel. They were not as crowded as we thought they might be. Got seated in about 15 minutes. Had good meals. Had desert at ?Gary and Lisa's. Came home and I took a nap. Slept for about 3 hrs. Felt better then. probably wont blog as much till we go camping or get ready. If anything great happens will post on here. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

What to write about.

Now that we are home everything seams mundane. We went to the grocery this morning and got Eli some treats and a few other things. e also ate at Cracker Barrel. Did a load of laundry when we got home. Didn't do much else. I have to work on getting my pictures from the rally around. Might work on them tomorrow. Also have to finish up our taxes. I didn't have everything I needed while we were gone so did what i could. Shouldn't take long to wrap it up. Just need to get on it. Guess thats about it for tonight. We are home

Well I did it. I missed last night. I was on the computer but didn't do the blog right away and then forgot and went to bed. We got home about 3:30. We did not start real early as we were pretty tired. Thelma is really whipped. We did not make it to church last night and then today we went to the service at St Paul at noon since Concordia was doing that half hour. But about halfway thru Thelma got to feeling dizzy and we didn't stay. We came home and I think she slept for about 3 hrs. She did not sleep well last night. Not sure if that what it was. We have both been fighting colds for the last week now. Hope it gets better pretty soon. I guess Eli doesn't really mind the trailer but he likes the big house to run around in. I think he did it twice today. Tomorrow we are going to Meijr to get treats for the boy. We are about out. /We had Gary buy some and ship them to Gulf Shores. That's about it for tonight.
