Home for a few days

We got home this afternoon about 1 or so. Not real sure. We stopped in Tipton to see Thelma's brother Paul who was in the hospital He had pneumonia and his heart fluttered from the high fever. He will be going home today. Then we stopped at Violets for a few minutes. Sherryl wants to put a railing by the side door so Violet can get in easier. Yes I will take a picture of all the cans and stuff that we got. May take a few days. We have had a lot of rain here in the last couple of hours. Not sure how much. We got home without hitting any. Samboree over

Tomorrow we leave for home. It has been a fun filled few days. The gentleman who was missing was found at 11:00 last night at his home. He did not know where he had been. Thank God he was okay. I think they need to take away his keys. Tonight we had some entertainers from Tenn. They were really good. I liked them better that Spike. We won a food basket this afternoon in a raffle. It was so heavy that it took Bob and I to carry it back to the trailer. Bunch of cans cake mixes Spaghetti and sauce to go with it. Not sure what all. We can eat for a week or so. Spike and the bulldogs

Tonight for entertainment we had Spike and the bulldogs. They were really good. Did one and a half hour show. We really enjoyed. it. Tomorrow is a full day and we leave Monday morning. The reason we cannot run air con is that they run temporary wiring and it is not heavy enough to run A/Cs. There is some sad news here. An 84 year old gentleman left around 12:30 today to get gas and has not returned. Don't know if he has the start of Alzheimer's or not. It is a shame. As far as I know his wife is still here. He left in the pickup. It is even on Channel 15s website. So sad Hope it turns out okay We may know more in the morning. or tomorrow sometime. Later All Ron Thelma and Eli

A great day

Today was a great day. We slept in this morning as neither one of us slept very good Wed. Night. Slept good last night was really tired. It is hot here and can't run the air so we have fans running. Have one by the bedroom windows Bought a power protection outfit today. We are afraid of the power that we are going to have at our campvention in Mi. So Bob and I each bought one. Since we both got one they did not charge us sales tax which saved us some money. He got a 50 amp but I bought a 30 as that is what we always use. So we shall see. Tonight they had two guys that did impression type music. The one guy had some trouble with his voice so he did not sing much . The other one did a lot of Elvis and he was pretty good. He really played to the audience. I just took a shower and finishing this up and then will go to bed. It is almost 11 so time for me to go . See that my font changed Wont mess with it tonight. Good Sam Rally

We got here about 10:30 this morning. We met the other couple at flying J. Came in here about 11:00. Got set up and had some lunch. About 2:30 or so went up and did the commercial building and got Ice cream. Cost 25cents a dip Cheap. At 4:30 we had a hot dog dinner. Pretty good. They had one that was pretty burnt. Asked for that one. Love them well done ones. This evening they had a Gospel group in singing. They are really good. We have entertainment every night. Spike and the bulldogs are going to be here Sat night. They are from New Haven. We got up at 6:00 this morning So we will probably head to bed pretty quick. That's about it for tonight. Leaving tomorrow

We are leaving early tomorrow morning for Lebanon, In. We are meeting another couple and going to a Good Sam rally, It will take about 3 hrs to get there. We seem to find the farthest places to go. It will be a fun time. Will come home on Sunday afternoon. Later Ron Thelma and Eli

Home

Well We are home for a few days. Have some work to do. Like cut grass again. It doesn't look too bad Might wait a few days so don't have to cut it again before Memorial day. We will leave a week from next Thursday for a good SAM rally. We only do this once a year. The lady that camps by herself has a truck camper. Tomorrow Thelma has lab work in the morning and and Tues a Dr. appt regular check up. We have some rugs from the camper to wash so will go to a laundromat to do that. That's about it for tonight. Tipton, In

We are back in Tipton for a few days. Will leave here on Sunday afternoon. We left the campground around 11:30 or so Took us 20 Minutes to get here. We had 11 units camping with 21 people. We have one lady that comes by herself. She is great fun. When we got here it was so windy and around 81 F Not used to that. Thelma is already in bed and I am about ready to hit the sack too. A great day

Today we had our potluck cookout. We had a good time with all our friends here. Tomorrow we go to the goodwill store and Deals. Then we will go to the Pizza Shack by the tracks I think we have about half of us going It has been a long day so will Cut this one short. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

White river campground

We are the campground here in Cicero. Went out to eat tonight with a bunch from here. A couple of families did not go but most of us did. It was a good one. They also have a restaurant in Tipton that we eat at on Sundays when we are there. A few of the ladies went up to the building to play games tonight. Some of us guys stood around and shot the bull. Got a little cool so I came in. Most of the rest did the same. Tomorrow we do our cook out. Not sure what we will do Wednesday. This is sort of a do nothing campout. That's about it for tonight. Moving Tomorrow

Tomorrow we go to Whiteriver campground at Cicero, In. It is north of Indy a ways. Close to Noblesville. We will leave Tipton in the morning sometime. Check in at the campground is 12:00 so we have time. We went to church here in Tipton and then went to breakfast. This afternoon we went into Violet and Sherryls and cooked hamburger. I brought my little tiller and worked up some flower beds for Sherryl and also some area's in the yard that had no grass. Then put some patch grass stuff down. That's about it for tonight. Tipton, In

We are in Tipton tonight. Went with Violet and Sherryl to Golden Corral to eat. Not sure it was worth the price. It had rained back here while we were gone. Forgot to put my rain gauge out. Not sure what we are going to do tomorrow. It is only going to get up to 55. Sherryl has some flower beds that she wants me to work up so brought along my Mantis tiller. It will work good for that. Home for a couple of days

Forgot to post last night. We got home about 1:30 I guess. I did 3 loads of laundry yesterday and 2 more today. Cut the grass this morning and then got a couple of bulbs for the camper. Two were burned out. Had to fix the latch on the door. Little bit of epoxy did the trick. Also had one propane tank filled. We went to Kroger for some groceries. Than went out to Johnny Appleseed campground to see Jack and Barb. Got home about 10:00. It has been a very busy day. Tomorrow is not going to be all that much better. We will leave on Friday but probably wait till the mail comes. I am going to stop it for a week also need to stop the paper. Yes it was a Vera Bradley bag. Here is a couple of pictures from the RVMuseum that we toured today. This is a 15 ft Shasta. We had a 13 ft one and this one is similar. Notice the canvas bunk in the rear. Our 13 ft one had that. I remember Gary outgrew that so soon. We had a great time looking at all the old trailers. I will put all the pictures on the web site when we get home. The wifi here is not all that good so will do it later. This afternoon we went to a Montana dealer and I got my latch for the screen door. Got it on. We also looked at a couple of fifth wheels. Nice. I talked to the service guy and going to take ours back this fall to have them fix a crack in the fiberglass. This has been a problem with a lot of Montana's. They can do it in one day so we might have to find something to do for a day. Will take it up after we are done camping. Later we went to a nursery landscape place and Thelma got a Very Bradley bag. It was a special deal. It had a lot of stuff in it. They had a bunch of little houses and stuff. They will be on the web site soon too. In Elkhart

We are at the Elkhart campground tonight. Tomorrow we will go to the museum and a Montana dealer. I need a couple of latches. Today when we got here on of the pins in the kitchen slide broke and the slide wouldn't come out. So had to get down there and drill out the hole so I could put a new bolt in it. i have done it a couple of times on the other one so now how to do it. Guess that's about it for tonight. Moving on

Tomorrow we move to Elkhart Campground for two nights. We are going with another couple to visit the RV hall of fame Museum. We will leave here about 1:00 or so. Not all that far from here. Will leave there on Tues and stop at home for a few days till we head down to Tipton. Tonight we had a potluck supper. Boy was that good. Too much food though.
