Catch up time

I seem to have trouble keeping up with this blog. Not much going on. Yesterday we went to a funeral for a cousin. I think 3rd. I remember when my Mom passed he asked me where all the cousins were. Well a lot of them are gone. I told Thelma that I was making sure one was going to be there. He had been in a nursing home for 4 years so it was a blessing. Got to talk to some of the cousins at the dinner after. Since he had served in WW2 they placed an American flag on the casket as we went to the cemetery. They then folded it at the end and gave it to his wife. That is always so great to see. We have had all our leaves picked up by the city. Today I had the neighbor guy come over and help me put in a couple of new bibs for the washer hoses. One of the hoses got a hole in it and when I tried to take it off it broke. So had to replace them. He has all the tools. He is getting up in years so don't know what I will do when he is gone. He gave me a couple pipe wrenches. big ones. I have one smaller one. Well guess that is it for now. Gary our son has surgery for gall bladder on Fri and Thelma has surgery a week from Wed. Busy times.  Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

  1. Good Luck to Gary and also to Thelma next week. I am among the last of the tribe in my family and least one of the very senior members.

  3. Fritz is a Frist Cousin once Removed. Fritz and Mom were first cousins. That makes us once removed. His kids would be our second cousins.

  4. Did they have a bugler at the funeral to play "taps"? That always gets to me. I guess Mr. B. must be in his mid 90's by now. Last saw him when Mom passed away. Will be praying that all goes well for Gary and for Thelma. The gall bladder surgery is not nearly as invasive as it used to be. He has been through a lot this year, too.
