Sunny

What a difference a day makes. Today dawned sunny and bueatiful. No I didn't see the sn come up. But it did wake me up. It was shining through the dome over the shower. We got up and had breakfast. I made a couple of calls about campgrounds. One place was full and the other was answering machine. We wanted to go to the outlet mall and I wanted to go to camping world. On the way my phone rang and it was from one campground that I had called. They were full but gave me the number of another one. So happened that just a ways up the road was the campground. It is up by Foley which is about 12 miles from here. They had two lots open We are going to stay there for one month. They have full hookups cable wifi pool laundry. It is a real pretty place. Even have a dog walk. So Fri we will move. I was worried that we wouldn't find anything around here and have to move over to Mobile. This afternoon some friends of ours who fulltime in a bus Harry and Darlene picked us up and we went out to eat. They ar leaving for Florida the 1st of the month. We went to a resturant that had a seafood buffet. It was half price for seniors so wasn't too bad. I wouldn't have paid the full price. I must admit though that it was good. We stuffed ourselves. Then Harry drove around and showed us some of the places to see. That really was nice of him. They have been down here i think for about 4 years at least. They know the area pretty well. We will go out to the beach one of these days. The sand is so white. Well That is about it for tonight. Tomorrow we are heading for Fort Morgan. There are 3 forts around this area that we want to see. We will have a month to see it all.

  1. Glad you were able to find a campground not too far away. The beaches around that area are really nice. I remember the one at Panama City. Clean white sand. Hope the weather stays nice. I sure would like to see the sun. Snow last night and snowing again today.

  2. While in Foley, go to Lambert's Resturanrt. That's where they threw your rolls to you. Make sure you're hungry. I got a salad that took me 3 days to eat. Seriously! We told our IN family that the white sand was the kind of snow we liked. Hope you make it to a Madri Gras parade in Mobile. Its worth the trip across the bay. See ya, Carol
