Good day for us Not for the colts

This afternoon we had a potluck get together with some people we met here. One couple deep fried catfish chunks. Boy was it good. Everybody brought some dishes to pass. Thelma made agrautin potatoes. They were really good. We also had baked beans apple salad macaroni salad cauliflower with italian dressing on it. We baked some valentine cookies this morning to take. Oh they deep fried some biscuts like we do when we do a turkey. We sat around for about 4 hrs or so. Then decided it was time to let Eli out. We took him and went into town to get a paper. Usually we get it when we go out for breakfast but since we were going to have the potluck just ate ceral here. Forgot about the paper. Only get it on Sundays. The news down here doesn't interest me that much. Well the colts didn't make it. When Manning threw the interception that did it. We changed the station. Not sure if they thought they had it in the bag or if NO wanted it more. Oh well always next year. Thelma saysthey pay them too much. Here is a picture of part of the group Thats about it for tonight. We plan to go over to Mobile tomorrow and see the ship. Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

  1. Potluck sounds good. I like catfish. Yea, if Manning hadn't thrown the interception maybe they would have tied the game and would have had a chance in overtime. Even at the beginning of the second half when they did the on side kick and it was successful, things didn't look so good. I think NO might have wanted it more. Oh well, the sun will still come up tomorrow. Would not want to be on Bourbon Street in NO tonight.

  2. The Colts just didn't seem to have it together after the first half and NO seemed pumped up especially after the on side kick. Bummer! But like you said - there is always next year. The potluck sounds good except for the catfish. I am not much of a fish eater.

  3. I don't think the Saints wanted it more. I think it was a case of "on any given Sunday". You know - on any given Sunday any team can beat any other team if things just go right for them and a little bit wrong for the other team. Two plays made the difference. The on-side kick and the interception. BUT, the defense didn't play up to snuff. Manning can't score if he is sitting on the side lines. I think Dwight Freeney being hurt really hurt them. I know he was playing but he just didn't play like normal and so they didn't put any pressure on Brees.
