Uss Alabama

Here is a shot of the USS Alabama that we toured today. I spent a little of 2 hrs walking the ship. Thelma waited in the soda shop for me. I can not believe how big this thing is. When it was in battle it had 5500 men on board. I will try and get the pictues uploaded in the morning we are going to go to Mickey Ds for breakfast and I can use their WiFi. We will be leaving here for Florida in the AM sometime. We had a good day. We stopped in Fairhope, Al and saw some beautiful flowers. They are on a different album. I will post a link to all of my pictures next week sometime. I think I have about 5 albums from down here. Will probably have more as we are going to Pensacola Naval Museum next week. Hope the weather is good. I think it will be in the high sixties toward the end of the week. That would be nice. Thats about it for tonight Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

  1. Was it hard walking around inside, like lots of steps? Safe travels on your way over to Florida. Guess it isn't really very far, as I looked up that place you are going to be. Hope the weather is nice.

  2. Glad you made it to the ship. I was beginning to wonder if you would make it before you left for Florida. Have a safe trip.

  3. That is huge. Had to be big to have that many men on board. Hope the weather is good for you in Florida. Everyone who has been there has said it was unusually cool. It is March now so maybe it will start warming up a little.
