Laundry Day Again
Today we did laundry again. We had two more loads to do. Got that done this morning and then just messed around. Some folks from FCRV are here. One couple is the head of the parking committee that we are going to help. They are going in on Thurs or Fri to the fairgrounds. We will go in on Sunday morning. There is two other couples that are here and going to the Yars rally. We are figuring on leaving about 10:00 in the morning and getting to Myrtle beach about 12:00 or 12:30. It is just about 100 miles give or take a few. It should be a neat drive as I think part of US 17 is along the ocean. Hope we can see it. We went to a place called Bessingers BBQ. Thelma had chicken sandwich and I had a pulled pork Sandwich. You add whatever BBQ sauce yo want on it. Am getting ready to take a shower so I am ready in the morning. Thelma is watching Are you smarter than a fifth grader. The lady on here is a teacher and got one answer right. First grade question. Boy that's part of the problem with our children here. Okay off the soapbox for now. That's about it for tonight. Later Ron Thelma and Eli

I sorta agree. But then I remember how long it has been since I was in the 5th grade and realize that when those smart little kids on the show get to be my age they won't remember what the capital of some Asian country is either.
ReplyDeleteSome of those questions they ask are not appropriate for the grade they are asking. They are not for the average student. The other night they asked a first grade question that I know was not for a first grader.
ReplyDeleteI've never watched that show, so I can't comment.
ReplyDeleteIf that road you mention does go along the ocean, that will really be neat. I would think you would be able to see it part of the time. But you have to keep your eyes on the road. Pulled pork sounds good.
Bessinger's pulled pork with the mustard sauce is the BESTEST in the south! I used to get off the plane and have my dad take me right there, no stopping, head for the pork. Al and I pretty much did the same thing if we drove in, no matter the route, no matter the destination, gotta hit Bessingers on the way in.
