Rainy night cold morning

We got 2 inches of rain last night. Sometimes it rained hard and then let up to a light rain. I don't mind the light rain It puts me to sleep. This morning we did laundry. It was cold as the washers and dryers are in the open. They are covered by a roof but no doors or anything. The wind was blowing pretty good. After lunch we went with Jack and Barb who are going to be here all the time we are. That is why we came here. From here they are going to leave for home. Messed that up. We drove to Destin Fl and Ft Walton Beach. I we stopped at a state park and I took some video of the waves. Will try and get them downloaded tomorrow sometime. The waves were really coming in. Pretty high.
The sub I toured was the USS Drum. I don't have any statistics on it. The Alabama has 9 16in/45cal Guns 3 turrets accurate to 21 miles. 20 %in/38 cal guns 10 Mounts 48 40mm guns 12 mounts 52 20mm guns Max speed 28 knots[32mph] Horsepower 130,000 Range 15,000 Nautical Miles at 15 knots. I am not sure that I saw everything on the ship. Did not see engines at all but maybe you can't. I looked on the guide that they give you and did not find anything on it about the engines. Tomorrow we are going to do some more laundry as they only have to washers and dryers. Not sure what we will do in the afternoon. Will probably try and find wifi so I can upload the pictures. Have two videos to upload too. That's about it for tonight Later all Ron Thelma and Eli

  1. I'm sure it is probably difficult to see everything on something that big even with a guide book. It's hard to think of something that big being able to float on the water. Saw on weather.com where it is supposed to to be pretty decent weather there this week. They say it is supposed to be in the upper 40s this week. Going to feel like a heat wave.

  2. Sometime you have to try an aircraft carrier. The USS Concord is in Charleston, SC and the Lexingston in Corpus Christi, TX. The immensity of the carries is overwhelming. I have seen both and they take a day to see.
