We made it

We finally got to the valley. This campground is not too bad. Not what we wanted. We are at rollin homes in Donna. We were going to one Bob Gurney recomended. That was rollin homes except it is in Mission, Tx. When I got online and check the Donna one came up. I couldn't remember where
Bob said it was so made a reservation here. We are only staying here a month and then moving to the one in Mission. We had a pretty good drive today. Sure not much to see. Scrub trees along the road and cattle a lot of places. We got here pretty early this afternoon. Got all set up. Not sure if we will put the awning out or not. Will wait a couple of days to see how windy it gets here. We will sleep in in the morning. Have been waiting for that. Not sure what we will do tomorrow. I need to get a bottle tank filled so will probably do that  Then maybe drive around and see what is here Guess that's about it for tonight  Later all Oh its' 68 here Was 72 when we got here. Hope is stays like this  Ron Thelma and Eli

  1. Glad you made it safely. Scrub trees and cattle - well, you are in Texas. Glad to hear the weather is so nice. That sure is a lot better than the 20s. Even if it does cool off some it will sure be better than Indiana.

  2. All those scrub trees and cattle belong to some HUGE cattle ranches. Check out King Ranch, mega acres. They have tours, Al went, said it was pretty interesting.

  3. The King Ranch is a day well spent, lots of history and they take you around in a bus, so not much walking. Glad you arrived safely, you will find lots to do in the area. Donn-Wes flea market on Wed and weekends. CiCi Pizza and Pizza Hut. Also Golden Corral. You will find all this quickly. Also many parks have craft sales/flea markets as well. Pickup the free newspapers for dates and places.

  4. Glad you made it safely. You should be able to get wonderful grapefruit and oranges in that area. Will await hearing about your adventures from day to day.

  5. 68 - 72 degrees sounds great. Maybe the 68 might be a little cool but not bad. Hope your good weather continues. No more sleeping in for me. Went back to work yesterday.
